Category 3 blackwater is a health hazard, not a cleaning job. Our Sewage Cleanup crews arrive in full PPE and follow IICRC S500 protocol from the first step, not just the parts that are convenient.

Removing porous materials that contacted blackwater isn't a cost-cutting decision — it's a safety standard, since carpet, pad, and drywall simply can't be fully sanitized after Category 3 contact.
None of this changes for a small job either — the same standard applies whether it's a single-room sewage cleanup call or a larger one.
We built this list around what typically goes wrong when sewage cleanup gets handled by a generalist instead of a specialist.
Every sewage job follows documented contamination protocol, not an improvised approach.
The affected area gets isolated before removal starts to prevent cross-contamination.
Disposal records are provided as part of your job file.
Sewage calls get priority dispatch given the actual health risk involved.
We don't treat sewage cleanup as a single generic task — each piece of the process below gets its own specific approach.
Water gets classified as Category 3 blackwater immediately, which sets the entire response protocol.
Extraction happens under full PPE with controlled disposal of the contaminated water.
Carpet, pad, and drywall that contacted blackwater are removed rather than dried in place.
Every surface touched by contaminated water gets treated with hospital-grade antimicrobial solution.
Odor gets addressed through disinfection and controlled airflow, not masked with fragrance.
Final sign-off includes both moisture and contamination checks, not just one.
This is the same sequence every sewage cleanup job follows, regardless of size.
Dispatch gathers just enough detail to load the right equipment before the truck leaves.
Crews staged locally get to your address quickly, equipment already loaded for Sewage Cleanup work.
The assessment sets the whole plan, so we don't rush it even when the visible damage looks minor.
Work continues until the job meets our documented completion standard, verified before we call it done.
These reviews come from real sewage cleanup calls, not a curated highlight reel.

Aqua Guard Water Damage dispatches sewage cleanup specialists throughout York and the surrounding zip codes, including 3909.
Coverage extends past the immediate area, so an outlying York address isn't treated as a lower priority for sewage cleanup.
If you're unsure whether your address falls in our sewage cleanup service area, just call — we'll confirm quickly rather than making you guess.
